Shimla, July 12 - The Rajendra Prasad Medical College in Himachal Pradesh, where first-year student Aman Kachru died due to ragging, will now bring out an anti-ragging booklet.

Kachru, 19, died March 8 this year, a few hours after being allegedly ragged by four final-year students of the college at Tanda town in Kangra district.

'A 46-page anti-ragging booklet will be soon available... Our aim is to senstise the students, both freshers and old, and college faculty about anti-ragging guidelines,' Anil Chauhan, the acting principal of the medical college, told IANS on phone.

'We have published about 700 copies of the booklet which will be distributed among the students, the faculty and staff free of cost,' he said.

Chauhan has taken charge of the college after Suresh Sankhayan resigned following Kachru's death.

The booklet contains guidelines of the Supreme Court, the Medical Council of India and details of anti-ragging ordinance of the state government.

'It also contains addresses and phone numbers of members of college anti-ragging committee and duties and responsibilities of the college teachers like hostel wardens.
