New Delhi, Aug 10 - With two of its students testing positive for Influenza A(H1N1), the Modern School Junior section in south Delhi announced Monday that it will remain closed for a week.
'Two of our students have tested positive for swine flu. They are from class B-3. Keeping in mind that we don't want the other children to be affected, the authorities have decided to close the school for a week,' an official from the principal's office said.
'The school will now re-open on Aug 17,' the official added.
Frantic parents who heard the news from others rushed to the school Monday morning after having dropped off their kids just a few hours earlier. They were told by the authorities to look out for any flu symptoms that their child may have and get them checked by the doctor immediately.
Modern School's junior section is located on Pandara road near Khan market in south Delhi.
