Neha Bansal, a marketing executive, added: 'It was his responsibility... it is not the first incident but quitting is not the solution of the problem. If they (DMRC authorities) were conscious about the issue (safety), the accident could have been averted.'
Leela Devi, a 45-year-old schoolteacher, was a little disappointed at the 'Metro man's' resignation.
'It is totally his decision. I have seen Delhi with and without the Metro and I think that he has contributed a lot in transforming Delhi and should be given a chance,' Devi said.
