Uluberia (West Bengal), Aug 9 - Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee Sunday came down heavily on her alliance partner Congress for forming the municipal board here after 'ditching' her party.

The Congress and Trinamool Congress won a majority after fighting the elections to the Uluberia municipality together in June, but the Congress later formed the board by defeating the Trinamool Congress candidates in the election of the chairman and the vice-chairman.

The Congress claimed it got the support of Forward Bloc commissioners, but the Trianmool has alleged that the Congress had secured the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
