Bandar Seri Begawan, July 31 - Gaganjeet Bhullar, who made a great recovery with three straight birdies from 15th to 17th, dropped a bogey on the very last to finish at even par 71 in the second round of the Brunei Open golf here Friday.
At four-under 138 for two days, he continued to be the best Indian in the field.
His former amateur team mate Anirban Lahiri, tied 11th overnight with Bhullar, slipped even more to two-under, following a 73 on second day and was tied 36th.
Both Lahiri and Bhullar had 67 each on first day.
Chiragh Kumar, who was part of the Indian team alongside Lahiri and Bhullar, was the best among Indians in second round with a 68 that carried his total to tied 36th, up from 98th when he scored 72 in first round.
Overall, five Indians made the cut with Gaurav Ghei (73) and C Muniyappa (72) tied at 53rd on the cut line at one-under.
Himmat Rai (72-70), Rahil Gangjee (71-71), Manav Jaini (72-72), Digvijay Singh (71-74), Baaz Mann (7-75) missed the cut.
