Ranchi, July 30 - Jharkhand governor K. Sankaranarayanan Thursday expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of development work and implementation of government schemes in the state.
'The implementation part of government schemes is poor,' he told reporters in his first media interaction, after being sworn in July 26.
The governor said officials have been asked to ensure the delivery of food grains to fair price shops in all districts by Aug 5, while village grain banks would be made functional by the end of August.
He said he was also dissatisfied with the implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in Jharkhand. 'Only 27 percent have been covered under NREGS. The various district administrations have been directed to ensure that employment, for at least 60 days, is provided to all eligible, by the end of October.
