'This is the first time that Pakistan has ever formally briefed us on the results of the investigation into a terror attack... the first time that they have admitted that their nationals in a terror organisation based in Pakistan carried out a ghastly attack in India.'

The reality, the prime minister said, was that this was far more than the NDA government had ever been able to expect from Pakistan.

He said his 'UPA government needs no lessons'.
