'When it started raining in the afternoon, I thought it will be the usual drizzle and will be over soon. So I took the bus home. However, when I reached my bus stop, I was surprised. The roads were overflowing and the water level had risen so much that I had to fold my jeans till my knees,' she said.
The rain, however, did not affect the temperatures.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 30.1 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the average during this time of year. The maximum was 36.6 degrees Celsius, again three notches above the normal.
