New Delhi, July 24 - A close aide of Himanshu Sabharwal, son of Ujjain professor H.S. Sabharwal who was beaten and killed in his college in August 2006, was found stabbed to death in the Delhi University campus Friday, police said.

The body of Parminder Singh, who worked as an accountant with Himanshu, was found lying in the Maurice Nagar area of the campus by a passer-by.

On Thursday, Himanshu and Parminder Singh were pasting posters in the university for a candelight march scheduled to be taken out Sunday for seeking justice in the Sabharwal murder case.

'Himanshu had left Singh at his residence Thursday night and left for his home in Gurgaon,' the officer said.
