Mumbai, July 23 - A Mumbai Special Court Thursday accepted on record the confession made by Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Kasab, the lone Pakistani terrorist captured during the Nov 26 attacks in this city.
Special Judge M.L. Tahilyani also ruled that the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks trial will continue as usual.
Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said that Kasab's confession has not been accepted since he has not divulged the complete truth about the conspiracy behind the terrorist strike.
'Accordingly, the court has ruled that the trial will continue as usual. So far, the prosecution has examined 134 witnesses in the case and we shall produce more witnesses before the court,' Nikam told mediapersons this afternoon.
Earlier, government-appointed defence lawyer S.G. Abbas Kazmi created a minor flutter in the court when he offered to quit.
Kazmi said that since his client Kasab did not appear to have confidence in him and did not listen to his instructions, he would prefer to quit.
