Patna, July 20 - Tension prevailed in a town in Bihar's Vaishali district Monday as residents protested the death of a schoolboy, found dead in the bathroom of the school hostel Sunday. His parents alleged criminal negligence by the school authorities.
Shubham Kumar, 7, a class one student, was found dead in the bathroom in Oasis Residential Public School at Dharampur town in Vaishali district.
Fearing an attack by hundreds of protesters, the school authorities fled the premises, abandoning the other students. Later the district administration deployed police and officials to take care of them.
Vaishali Superintendent of Police Paras Nath said that Shubham's body bore cut marks on the neck and wrists.
