Suranjoy Singh, India's lone gold medallist at the Asian Championships, will take part in the 51 kg section. Asian silver medallist Jai Bhagwan (60 kg) and bronze medal winner Dinesh Kumar (81 kg) along with Manpreet Singh (91 kg), who won a silver at an international meet in Russia this month, and Manoj Kumar (64 kg) were also included in the team.

More than 700 boxers from 100 countries will take part in the championships in Milan.
