'I was in my office till 12 and then left for an official meeting, she might have come after 12 that is why she could not meet me. This is very unfortunate and I even called doctors in the hospital and requested them to take special care of her. But they could not save her,' DGSE Krishan Kumar told IANS Tuesday evening.

About the issue of transfer, Kumar said: 'I had got many complaints against her from her colleagues and other department officials. It was impossible to ignore them. Therefore, she was transferred to another school that was just five kilometers from her house in Baghapurana. If she had any problem, then she should have contacted me instead of taking this extreme step.'

Meanwhile, confirmed sources in the education department told IANS that a senior ranked official was also terminated from his services, few days back, for favouring the deceased teacher.
