New Delhi, Sep 22 - The national capital recorded its ninth swine flu death Tuesday as a 20-year-old woman succumbed to the contagious influenza A (H1N1) virus, health authorities said.

Anjan Prakash, state nodal officer, said: 'The woman died Tuesday morning. Earlier, it was not confirmed. But her tests showed that she died due to the flu.'

The woman was admitted to the Safdarjung hospital, Prakash told IANS.

On Tuesday, as many as 108 fresh cases were detected, of which 70 are children.

The Delhi government, meanwhile, also announced that Tamiflu, the anti-influenza medicine, will be sold at authorised retail chemists outlets. The central government had last week allowed 'restricted sale' of Tamiflu through over 500 chemists.

The decision to alow Tamiflu sales was taken during a meeting held by Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia after the state government received notification from the central government.
