New Delhi, Sep 22 - 'Mehendi laga ke rakhna' - the peppy number from superhit movie 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' played as the perfect background song when Rahul Mahajan stepped in here Tuesday to launch NDTV Imagine's 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jaayega' (RDLJ).

Rahul, son of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan, is set to search for a 'perfect life partner' through the show a la item girl Rakhi Sawant, who had her 'swayamvar' on the channel some time ago.

Wearing a blue, bejewelled sherwani and looking every bit of a bridegroom, Rahul walked into a decorated hall and took centrestage with girls dancing around him.

'Unmarried, of legal marriageable age, beautiful, composed girls can come for my show. There are no restrictions for any sort - all girls can come and try their luck,' Rahul told reporters.

Asked about his preferences, he said: 'Even I am not perfect, so I don't expect any girl to be perfect. She should just be able to compromise in situations, her fundamental values should be in sync with mine, she should be honest, intelligent, bold and beautiful and should be able to walk shoulder to shoulder with me, which also means, she should be tall.
