The Congress, led in 59 assembly segments of the 90-member assembly in the general elections this May, winning nine of ten Lok Sabha seats from the state.

Former chief minister and father of Ajay and Abhey, Om Parkash Chautala is contesting from the Uchana Kalan and Elenabad seats in Jind and Sirsa districts respectively.

Ajay Chautala is former member of parliament (MP) from Bhiwani seat in Haryana. He lost this seat in May 2009 general elections to Shruti Choudhary, the granddaughter of former chief minister Bansi Lal.

Assembly elections in Haryana will be held Oct 13 and the votes will be counted Oct 22.
