Earlier in an interview, Marwah had cited instances of corruption during his tenure in Manipur as governor of the state. He was asked to favour a Mumbai-based businessman in an online lottery deal by the Manipur government.
The NDA government was upset when he cancelled a contract signed by the erstwhile Radhabinod Koijam-led government, Marwah said.
Taking a swipe at the UPA, Marwah had said a union minister in charge of the northeast had earned the reputation of being India's 'Mr 10 Per Cent' in the region for corruption.
Asked what took him so long to come out with the disclosures and whether it would impact the administration, Marwah said, 'It takes time. Moreover, I have long retired from the police force. It is to the media to create an impact.'
