Islamabad, Sep 13 (Xinhua) Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf Sunday said former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif would not seek his trial for high treason.
Sharif has assured King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia that he would respect the agreement (not to call for Musharraf's trial) under Article 6 of Pakistan's constitution, Musharraf told a TV channel.
The former general said said Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is the chief justice of Supreme Court and he expects justice from him.
Musharraf further said the judges who supported him would also be treated under Article 6 if he was tried under that article.
On July 31, Pakistani Supreme Court ruled that Musharraf's decision to impose emergency rule and dismiss dozens of senior judges in 2007 was unconstitutional.
