Ghaziabad, July 17 - The Ghaziabad office of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), where a fire was reported Thursday night, was renovated Friday, police said. The incident comes in the wake of the arrest of Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi.
'A team consisting of forensic experts visited the office and then the party office bearers called painters to paint the affected parts of the office,' said circle Officer Rajesh Bharti.
The husk pads of an air cooler in the office caught fire at around 11 p.m. Thursday and the flames blackened the main gate. No further damage was visible.
According to district BSP president Prem Chand Bharti, some miscreants were responsible for starting the fire.
