Hyderabad, Sep 4 - It is a quirk of fate. The Lal Bahadur Stadium where Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy took oath as chief minister for a second term May 20 is where his body has been now brought to enable people to pay their last respects.
Standing in an open top jeep and accompanied by his wife, son and other family members, the 60-year-old had entered the stadium four months ago waving to thousands of his supporters when he took oath.
Though the gathering was huge Friday too, they came to bid a tearful farewell to him.
Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, who was then standing behind his charismatic father, was today a picture of grief as he stood by the side of the body, brought on a special military truck.
YSR had also taken oath at the same stadium May 14, 2004.
