New Delhi, Sep 2 - Bajaj Auto, India's second largest selling two-wheeler manufacturer, Wednesday said its sales in August rose 3.63 percent to 183,051 units against 176,631 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
The company's sales of both two- and three-wheelers increased six percent to 213,072 units. Exports increased 5.71 percent to 75,164 units.
'The new Bajaj Discover received an overwhelming response enabling a sale of 48,000 units, possibly setting a new record for sales of a motorcycle in its first full month of launch,' the company said in a statement.

Datavision ropes in IBM for banking solutions
Bangalore: Datavision Software Solutions has tied up with global IT major IBM to provide web-based core banking solutions to cooperative banks with its proprietary product DateMate, the company said Wednesday.
'DataMate will enable cooperative banks to provide customer relationship management through a unified view of customer's transactions. IBM will help the banks migrate to web-based core banking offerings,' Datavision managing director Prakash Khanchandani said in a statement.

Bangalore: Leading commodity trading and risk management solutions provider Eka Software has been ranked among the top 10 software firms by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom), the Indian IT industry body said in a statement Wednesday.
'Eka is one of the two product firms selected for its domain expertise and growth potential in the 'emerging products' category,' Nasscom said.
