Mumbai, Sep 2 - A key index of the Indian equities markets opened weak Wednesday and was trying to crawl up into the green within about ten minutes of start of trade.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 15,482.05 points, was trying to move up into the green. It was ruling at 15,529.12 points, 22.07 points or 0.14 percent lower than its previous close, about 10 minutes into trade.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 4,615.3 points, against the previous close at 4,625.35 points, a loss of 0.22 percent.
Broader market indices were, however, trading in the positive, with the BSE midcap index up 0.49 percent and the BSE small cap index ruling 0.47 percent higher.
