Kolkata, Aug 29 - Professional education institution WLC College India (WLCI) has announced special scholarships for defence personnel, their families and ex-service men.

'These scholarships will be offered for professional courses in business economics, fashion technology, advertising and graphic design, visual communications and mass communications,' WLC College India Chief Executive Officer Malobika Sengupta told IANS.

'Lot of defence personnel join our institute for the courses after glorious careers in the armed forces. So we thought we should do something as a token of appreciation of their service to the country,' she said.

The scholarships for the defence personnel and their wards have been categorised into three prominent sections.
