New Delhi, Aug 27 - External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna goes to Brasilia Friday to firm up the agenda for the fourth IBSA summit of the heads of state of India, Brazil and South Africa.

Krishna will attend the India-Brazil joint commission meeting Monday, external affairs ministry spokesperson Vishnu Prakash told reporters here Thursday.

He will be participating in the ministerial meeting of the IBSA countries Tuesday ahead of their summit, likely in November. No dates have been fixed.

The IBSA brings together the emerging economies of Asia, Africa and Latin America in pursuit of a bigger voice in international fora. The three countries seek to synergise their clout on global issues ranging from multilateral trade talks and climate change to the UN reforms and energy security.

The first IBSA summit was held in Brasilia in 2006, followed by the Johannesburg summit in 2007. New Delhi hosted the third IBSA summit last year.
