Lucknow, August 26 - Eight fresh cases in the state have taken the Uttar Pradesh count of the people infected with swine flu to 61, an official said Wednesday.
Six of the new cases were found in homes already affected by the H1N1 virus.
'About 50 more throat swab samples have been sent to the laboratory for test,' said T.N. Dhole, head of the microbiology department at the Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS).
The report of these samples would be available by Thursday, he said.
The cases detected so far were 'well under control', he added.
