Chennai, Aug 26 - Hyderabad enjoyed a slice of luck as the spin of coin favoured them against Karnataka after bad light stopped play in the semi-final of the All-India cricket tournament for the Buchi Babu trophy, here Wednesday.
Karnataka, chasing Hyderabad's total of 246 all out, were 225 for nine in 78.2 overs when rains brought about a premature end to the two-day game that was decided on spin of coin.
In the final, to be played over the weekend, Hyderabad take on Tamil Nadu Combined Districts XI who defeated Assam by seven wickets with Arun Karthik scoring a fine 124 for the winners.
In the other semi-final, Karthik played a stellar knock of 124 (5x4, 4x6) as the TN Districts made light of the Assam attack.
