Kolkata, Aug 25 - Three mini bus passengers, including a married couple, lost their right arms Tuesday when a bus coming from the opposite direction brushed against their vehicle in central Kolkata, police said.

Seven others were also injured in the accident that took place on Mayo Road.

Police said the bigger private bus, in a bid to overtake another bus on the busy road, caused the mishap. The three, who lost their arm, were occupying window seats.

The victims included a couple and a resident of Assam.
