Bhopal, Aug 24 - Madhya Pradesh reported its second case of swine flu Monday with a software engineer testing positive for the disease in his hometown Sagar.
'The patient, Vinish Jain, a software engineer working in Pune has tested positive for swine flu in Sagar. However, his condition is normal in a Nagpur hospital where he was taken from Sagar,' said Dr Amitabh Jain, a member of the swine flu combat team of the Sagar district hospital.
He said Vinish had come from Pune to his home in Sagar, 200 km from here, on Aug 15 and got viral fever. On Aug 18, his samples were sent for testing.
He had been admitted to the Bhagoday hospital from where doctors referred him to the district hospital. He was later taken to Nagpur.
The first case of swine flu in the state was a 32-year-old from Indore. He is said to be stable and recovering.
About 3,000 people all over India have been infected with the H1N1 influenza virus and 60 people have died.
