New Delhi, Aug 21 - The national capital has reported 12 new cases of swine flu, Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia said Friday.
'Of the 12 positive cases, eight cases were reported from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, two cases from Army Base Hospital and two cases from the Lady Hardinge Hospital,' Walia said.
'Till date, 384 cases have been admitted and treated in designated government hospitals. Of these 384 cases of swine flu, 345 have been treated and discharged. Till yesterday (Thursday), the number of these patients was 372,' Walia said.
The health minister added that the Delhi government's exclusive 24x7 helpline number 42565555 has been made functional for giving information to the public regarding the H1N1 virus.
'The government is receiving a huge response from the people. People are making a number of queries about swine flu and the attendants on this helpline are attending to their queries in a polite and appreciable manner. The number of attendants on this helpline will be increased from tomorrow (Saturday)...,' she said.
Walia added that the evaluation process of four private laboratories was in the final stage and the labs have been given test samples.
