Chennai, Aug 21 - The Adidas-MCC National Junior Tennis Championship, scheduled to be held here Aug 24-29, has attracted over 500 entries.
The event comprises singles and doubles matches for boys and girls in under-14 and 18 categories and the players would receive a daily allowance of Rs.800, according to Vivek Reddy, organising secretary of the championship.
At a media conference here, Reddy said the championship will be spread across six venues, including the Krishnan Tennis Centre, apart from the MCC facilities.
The 64-player boys singles draw would have 54 direct entrants besides eight qualifiers and four wild cards, while in girls' there will be 36 direct entries besides eight qualifiers and four wild cards.
