New Delhi, Aug 20 - A gas agency owner was robbed of nearly Rs. 200,000 by three motorcycle borne robbers in east Delhi Thursday, police said.
'The incident took place around noon. The victim Satpal, who owns a gas agency in Preet Vihar area, was going to the bank along with his servant Pintu to deposit Rs.185,000 when three robbers stopped them at gun point and snatched the bag having the cash,' a senior police officer said.
According to the officer, the victim's account suggested it was a well planned operation and the robbers were keeping a track of his movements. The gas agency owner has ruled out the involvement of his servant.
'Satpal told us that Pintu is working with him from the last seven years and is a very trustworthy. He said that Pintu could not be involved in the act,' the officer said, adding police were trying to identify the robbers.
