New Delhi, Aug 20 - A 16-year-old boy died after he was allegedly punched in the stomach by his friend when an argument between them turned violent, Delhi Police said Thursday.
The deceased, Vipin, and his schoolmates Karan and Manan (names changed) got into an argument over some small issue Wednesday 8.30 p.m at Chandraval village in Shakti Nagar in north Delhi.
'Vipin and Manan broke into a fistfight,' a police officer said.
'Manan, a year younger to Vipin but well built, punched him hard in the stomach and hit him on head and face. Vipin collapsed,' the officer said.
Karan called people from around and Vipin was rushed to a hospital 'where he was declared brought dead', the officer said.
Police were waiting for the autopsy report to know the exact cause of death. The accused has been named in the case.
