New Delhi, Aug 20 - Chetan Anand and Arvind Bhat moved into the quarterfinals of the Macau Open badminton Grand Prix gold with contrasting victories over their Danish rivals Thursday.
Anand, seeded seventh, defeated Hans-Kristian Vittinghus 21-15, 21-15 and set up a clash with top seed and world No.1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia.
Bhat, seeded 10th, faced stiff resistance from Jan O Joergensen before prevailing 21-13, 22-20. Joergensen had toppled some top players to reach the quarterfinals of the World Championship in Hyderabad last week.
Bhat will next face Malaysian fourth seed Choong Hann Wong.
