New Delhi, Aug 20 - Indian Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh has been ranked second in the 75 kg category by the International Boxing Association (AIBA).
The Khel Ratna awardee has 1700 pts and is placed behind Correa Bayeux Emilio of Cuba, who has an aggregate of 2500 points. Vijender lost to the Cuban in Olympics semi-final.
Blanco Parro Alfonso of Venezuela with 1300 points is ranked third.
Beijing Olympic quarterfinalists Akhil Kumar (57 kg) and Jitender (51 kg) are placed 9th and 13th in their respective categories.
Jitender has a total 837.5 pts while Suranjoy Singh is 14th with 800 points in the 51 kg.
In the 57 kg category, apart from Akhil (1050 points), Jai Bhagwan is ranked 25th with 700 points.
In the 48 kg category, Thokchom Nanao Singh is at fifth spot with 1400 points while Olympic Champion Zou Shiming of China is ranked first with 2500 points.
