New Delhi/Patna, Aug 20 - A Delhi court Thursday handed over the custody of Vijay Krishna, a former Bihar MP who was arrested Wednesday on murder charges, to Bihar Police.
Krishna was presented before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja who allowed Bihar Police's plea to take him into their custody and present him before a Patna court on or before Aug 22.
Delhi Police Wednesday arrested Krishna, a leader of Bihar's ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U), from Faridabad in Haryana.
A non-bailable warrant was issued against Krishna by the Patna court for the murder of Satyendra Singh, a JD-U worker.
Singh was abducted May 23 and his body was found in the Ganga river June 11.
Krishna, as a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) member, had won the Lok Sabha elections from the Barh constituency in 2004, defeating Nitish Kumar, now chief minister of Bihar.
He, however, quit the RJD later to join the JD-U.
