Pune, Aug 20 - Two more people have died of swine flu in private hospitals in Pune Wednesday, a top health official said.
Vijay Avghade, 52, died at the KEM hospital and Narendra Deshpande, 62, died in Sahyadri hospital, said Pradip Awate, head of the Maharashtra Swine Flu Control Room.
Avghade died at 3.45 a.m. and Deshpande died at 8 p.m. Avghade's death due to swine flu was confirmed after his throat swab report was received Wednesday evening, Awate told IANS Wednesday night.
Till date 21 people have died of swine flu in the state.
