Mumbai, Aug 20 - A key index of the Indian equities markets moved further into the green a little more than an hour before end of trade Thursday and was ruling 328 points higher than its last closing figure.
At 2.30 p.m., the 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 14,930.05 points, was trading at 15,138.17 points, up 328.53 points or 2.22 percent.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), too, was ruling on a high at 4,488.25 points, up 2.1 percent.
Broader market indices also gained, with the BSE midcap index ruling 1.38 percent higher and the BSE smallcap index 1.47 percent up.
