New Delhi, Aug 18 - A relative of a senior Delhi Police official was Tuesday robbed of his car by three armed men who also forced him to withdraw cash from an ATM and took it away, said an official.
Avinash Rana, 27, was returning from his office in Okhla area of south Delhi when three masked men waylaid him.
'The victim was returning from office when at Burari's Jharoda Pushta area, which is a little aloof, three armed men with covered faces forcibly entered the vehicle. When the assailants did not find any cash on him, they drove him to the nearest ATM and forced him to withdrew Rs.29,000 from his account,' said a police official.
The three unidentified men pushed him out of the car in the Burari area and drove away with the vehicle.
Rana is a resident of Alipur area of Outer Delhi.
According to the officials, Rana is a relative of an Assistant Commissioner of Police posted in east Delhi.
