New Delhi, Aug 18 - After three days of intermittent rain and cool weather, the national capital Tuesday experienced muggy times again with the daytime temperature touching 35.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
'The maximum touched 35.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above average for this time of the year. In the past few days the temperature had remained cooler owing to the constant bouts of rainfall. Humidity was 92 percent,' an official at the India Meteorological Department told IANS.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperature Tuesday settled at 25.5 degrees Celsius, with very little rain in the morning.
The met office has predicted that there could be light showers over the next day.
'The sky will remain cloudy with the possibility of light rain and thundershowers,' the official added.
The maximum temperature Wednesday is expected to be 37 degrees Celsius and minimum would be 26 degrees Celsius, he added.
