New Delhi, Aug 18 - Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi Tuesday said he had 'no complaints' against Syed Sibtey Razi and had 'no knowledge' about the governor being asked to quit following corruption charges against his former aides.

'I have made it clear that I have no complaints against the governor. I don't know about the charges. I have never made any complaint against him,' Gogoi told reporters here.

The chief minister said he had 'no knowledge' about reports that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had raided the offices of two of Razi's aides in Ranchi. The CBI is said to have discovered that the Ranchi Raj Bhavan committed irregularities when Razi was the governor of Jharkhand.

Gogoi's comments come after Razi was reportedly asked by the central government to quit following complaints that his aides and staff allegedly made money for transfers and postings when he was governor of Jharkhand. He was sworn in as Assam governor July 27.

Asked if he was happy with the functioning of Razi, Gogoi said: 'Today he is my governor. Why should I be unhappy with him?'
