Raipur, Aug 17 - A mutilated body, partially eaten by animals, was found here Monday, police said.

'A skeleton of a male person was recovered from Shej Bahar locality of Raipur with most of his body parts eaten by animals,' said R.C. Lahri, officer posted with Taikrapara police station.

He said: 'The body looks at least 20-25 days old. The hands and stomach were eaten by animals, probably by dogs. It has been sent to the Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination and a case has been registered.'

He said that a few people of Shej Bahar locality were interrogated regarding the recovery of the mutilated body and efforts were on to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
