New Delhi, Aug 17 - Delhiites Monday experienced pleasant weather with the national capital receiving light showers keeping the day temperature well below the average for the third consecutive day.

The national capital received 14.2 mm of rainfall till 5:30 p.m., bringing down the maximum temperature to 31.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees below what is normal for this time of the season.

'The capital is likely to receive more rains during the week and skies will remain cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures will settle below the average Tuesday,' said an official at Safdarjung Met Office.

The capital has received 97.7 mm of rainfall this month.
