Chennai, Aug 17 - Early morning showers caused all the seven first round matches of the All-India Buchi Babu cricket tournament to be abandoned here Monday.

So far, only one of the eight first round games was completed as Madhya Pradesh (Group A) beat Himachal Pradesh Sunday to pick up three points.

Tamil Nadu and Assam (Group A), New Zealand A, Andhra, Tamil Nadu Districts and Baroda (Group B), Karnataka, TNCA President's XI, Vidarbha and Mumbai (Group C) and Saurashtra, Hyderabad, Kerala and Orissa (Group D) were awarded a point apiece.

The second round of the league matches are scheduled August 19 and 20.
