Kolkata, Aug 17 - West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee cancelled his trip to New Delhi for the internal security conference of chief ministers convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday due to ill-health.
The chief minister was down with fever for the last few days and was still very weak, said an official in his secretariat.
Despite his ill-health, Bhattacharjee had toured West Midnapore district last week.
On Sunday, he had skipped the memorial meeting for Subhas Chakraborty, the senior leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and minister, who died Aug 3.
