New Delhi, Aug 13 - Olympic bronze medallist Sushil Kumar will spearhead India's challenge in next month's World Wrestling Championships in Herning, Denmark.
The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awardee is in the 17-member team announced by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) here Thursday.
The Olympics bronze medallist will be India's top medal contender in the 66kg freestyle category in the tournament that will be held Sep 20-27.
Balraj Singh (55kg), Hardeep Singh (60kg), Ramesh Kumar (74kg), Anil Mann (96kg) and Joginder Kumar are the other wrestlers in the freestyle category.
Rajender Kumar (55kg), Ravinder Singh (60kg), Sunil Kumar (66kg), Anil Kumar (96kg) and Dharmender Dalal (120kg) have been selected in the Greco-Roman style category.
Arjuna awardee Alka Tomar (59kg), Nirmal Devi (48kg), Babita (51kg), Suman Kundu (63kg), Geetika Jakhar (67kg), Gursharanpreet Kaur (72kg) form the women's team for the event.
