Hyderabad, Aug 13 - Private carrier Jet Airways will launch a daily flight on the Hyderabad-Dubai sector from Aug 16, a senior official said here Thursday.
The new flight using Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be Jet Airways' first international service from Hyderabad and its second daily service to Dubai from South India.
The airline currently has two daily services from Mumbai to Dubai, and one each from Delhi and Chennai.
'With the growing popularity of Dubai as a leading business and leisure destination, there has been an increasing demand for enhanced air connectivity to the Gulf from Southern India,' Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer of Jet Airways, told reporters.
With the introduction of this service, Jet Airways will fly to eight destinations in the Gulf region - Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai - from several Indian cities.
