Midnapore (West Bengal), Aug 11 - Youth Congress workers Tuesday staged a black flag demonstration against West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who was on a day's visit to West Midnapore district as part of his regular mass contact programme.

Bhattacharjee, who inaugurated a college in Debra named after India's freedom struggle martyr Khudiram Bose and also unveiled his bust there, faced the demonstration when his convoy was speeding through Midnapore town, the district headquarters.

The Youth Congress workers waved black flags and also shouted slogans against the chief minister as his convoy was passing through the town, police said here.
