Jhajjar (Haryana), Aug 10 - Haryana Police Monday evening arrested five people for the murder of a couple in the state's Jhajjar district Sunday, officials said.
'Police have arrested five people in Sunday's killing of a couple in village Siwana. We have registered a case against nine people and police are raiding various hideouts to nab the other four accused,' Inspector General of Police (Rohtak Range) V. Kamaraja told IANS Monday evening.
'The arrested accused include father of the deceased girl, her three relatives and one relative of the deceased boy. We suspect that they hanged the bodies on the tree after beating them to death. Their interrogation is on and very soon we will reach some final conclusion,' Kamaraja added.
The bodies of a man and a minor girl who went missing from their homes Aug 1 were found hanging from a tree on the outskirts of their village Sunday.
