Jhajjar (Haryana), Aug 9 - Another suspected 'honour killing' was reported in Haryana's Jhajjar district Sunday, with the bodies of a man and a minor girl who went missing from their homes some days ago found hanging from a tree on the outskirts of their village.
'At this point of time we cannot conclude whether it was suicide or murder. But after studying the background of the case and seeing the circumstances, we cannot rule out the possibility of 'honour killing',' district police chief Saurabh Singh told IANS.
The couple - Sandeep Singh and Monika - lived in the same village. On the basis of their school certificates, Saurabh Singh said the girl was a minor while Sandeep Singh was 22 years old.
Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
