New Delhi, Aug 9 - The privately run Sanskriti School here will be closed for a week after three of its students tested positive for swine flu, a teacher said Sunday. One of the students contracted the virus in Britain.
Two students, from Class 4 and Class 11, were identified as patients Saturday and had attended school till Thursday. The school is located in south Delhi's diplomatic enclave Chanakyapuri.
Teacher Anjali Bali told IANS: 'After two of our students tested positive for swine flu, the school authorities consulted the doctors and decided to close it for a week. We have informed the parents.'
The school first sent SMSes to parents Saturday informing them about the two cases and asking them to await further instructions regarding its closure. On Sunday, parents were told that the school will be shut until Aug 17 as a precaution.
'We don't want the infection to spread in the school.
